Been wanting to do this and when this popped up on my Google Reader I decided I was in…the cool thing is-I’m at work and I have checked in holds being routed to other branches.

Read-a-thon

Excited about the Readathon this weekend. However, I have had work reach out and grab me. Turns out I am working both Saturday and Sunday

So here’s the plan…I will read through the evening hours, probably staying up rather late, as normal, and will blog as I do so. But I will need a nap before work so it won’t be a 24 hour thing.

Next weekend, though, looks really really good. No work, no commitments so I will be doing my 24 hour personal readathon then. I am sure my husband will love this.

I am a little upset that I am going to miss out on a lot of fun. Hopefully in October there will be another Readathon and I can put everything on hold for that period.

Welcome to November!

Hope everyone’s Halloween went smashingly. Chris and I went to my parents for a traditional chili/hot dog/pumpkin feast (but not at the same time!) and saw my nieces and nephew all dressed up.Then we hit Walgreens for discount candy, but alas most have been cleared out. I think I have enough candy to get me through the next two weeks. Seems we shall be moving on Sunday the 16th!

While the move is looming large in my brain-lists of things to do-this move is also going to interrupt my reading schedule. My goal of 100 books will be accomplished. Period, end of story. I will read 100 books. Right now I am at 82 books for the year. So just 18 books. Can we do it? Yes, we can! (Sorry, don’t know where Bob the Builder came from!)

One of my Firefox addons-Read It Later-updated and when I downloaded the update I went goofy. So I had to redownload and it’s worked perfectly. Don’t ya hate glitches? I’m just glad my fix-it actually fixed it.

So anyhoo-was going to post more but it’s 1 am-oh wait time to fall back-it’s just 12 am. I’m gonna get some pumpkin pie and crawl into bed with Book of Lies.

Oh-one more thing-Mizzou won today over Baylor. Go Mizzou!

Just another Saturday Night…

And I am home alone, as usual, with Slacker playing some golden R&B from the 60’s and 70’s. I finally have a big fat zero on my unread blogs in Bloglines. Soon I will go watch some more movies. Trying to get some non-hubby items watched.

I’ve had some pain back in my jaw and this afternoon it was under my eye on that side of my face. I went ahead and put my contacts in before going to the in-laws to watch some of the Mizzou game. I got to look tonight at my face and I have a pink, puffy eye, at least in the corner. I don’t see a pimple like item that could be a stye. So we’ll wait and see what strange thing my body has developed.

I am going wading into my closet tomorrow. I’ve got a fall wreath I need to get out and I need to organize the closet a bit better. But for now, it’s off to movieland. Have a great weekend.
